"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  (2 Cor 4:16-18).

Do you feel like your life is being renewed daily or do you feel like you're on a treadmill going nowhere? The Apostle Paul knew what is was like to suffer physically, to be hated, and to be ridiculed. Before turning to Christ, he had a comfortable life: he was respected, he had a good position, he had a family, and he even had status as a Roman citizenship. But when he encountered Christ, his life drastically changed. These words remind us to focus on not what we see around us, but on those things that are unseen. How would it change your life if you focused less on the problems you see with your life and more on God's love, grace, and presence in your life?
