So, day before yesterday I posted about enjoying the sounds of rain. Little did I know that it was going to rain and rain and rain . . . you get the picture. I spent yesterday at the Fatima Retreat House in Indy (without internet, hence no post) but had limited ability to enjoy the grounds or the labyrinth due to the weather. All that being said, it reminded me how important it is to just disconnect from noise and social media in particular for a day. That led me to today's Bible verses: finding God in the silence.

Lamentations 3:25-26 "The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the person who searches for him. It is good to hope and wait patiently for the LORD’s salvation."
Psalm 27:14 "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."
Psalm 62:5-6 "My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken."
Mark 1:35 "Then Jesus got up early in the morning when it was still very dark, departed, and went out to a deserted place, and there he spent time in prayer."
Psalm 37:7 "Be silent in the LORD’s presence and wait patiently for him."
Psalm 46:10 “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

I encourage you to find just a few minutes today to set aside your phone, your computer, your distractions - and in the silence listen for the voice of God.
