I hate the dentist. There, it's out. Well, more precisely I hate going to the dentist. My dentist is, I am sure, a wonderful and caring person. Why do I say this? I have a dentist appointment this morning. I tell myself that it's no big deal, it's just the routine cleaning. I tell myself I've brushed and flossed regularly and so it will be fine. I tell myself I've gone through this before and survived. I tell myself that others have gone through, or are going through, worse things than this. I tell myself a lot of things all the time ... but rarely does it help. So, this morning I am trying to let God speak to me; I am listening to God's voice, rather than my own.

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. (Zephaniah 3:17).

It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.  (Deut. 31:8).

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (1 Pet. 5:7).
God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Ps. 46:1).

Have a wonderful day knowing that God is with you always!
